Photo-sharing site Flickr has announced the launch of its integration with Twitter.
Through Flickr2Twitter, users can share images posted on Flickr with their Twitter followers by using either the upload by email feature or displaying current content within their Twitter streams.
The shared content takes the form of a short URL utilising the flic.kr domain name in a similar style to shortened URLs from services such as bit.ly.
Heather Champ of Flickr said in a blog post that the website is also preparing to launch its own account on Twitter with the purpose of "sharing bits and pieces from around the Flickrverse".
Twitter announced this week that it has made several changes to its Followers and Following pages for users of the social media site.
Users can now perform actions such as turning on SMS, unfollowing other people, mentioning users, blocking certain members and sending a direct message from these pages.
